Priyanka also gave a glimpse into Nick Jonas’ role at home, especially during routine parenting duties. She said he is involved in their daughter’s daily life and does not step back from small responsibilities.

On the day of her interview, Priyanka revealed that Nick was the one getting Malti ready for a themed school activity called “silly hair day.” She described how he styled her hair into uneven pigtails, something she called “the cutest lopsided pigtails.”

Two worlds at home: Indian roots, American life

Priyanka also spoke in detail about how she and Nick are raising their daughter between two cultures. She explained that while she is not a diplomat, she uses her public platform to represent her background in a meaningful way.

She said she remains strongly connected to India in her everyday life, especially through food and traditions. At the same time, she acknowledged that their family also lives within an American environment.

She shared that maintaining this balance is conscious decision for both. Nick Jonas, she said, was already more familiar with American culture, but Indian traditions were new to him. Over time, he has learned and taken interest in them.

Priyanka mentioned that Nick participates in Indian religious practices at home. He joins her during pujas and other ceremonies. The couple also ensures that festivals are observed together, whether it is Holi or Thanksgiving.
